On Friday 9 August, Beca celebrated two Gold, one Silver and two Merit award wins at the 2019 Association of Consulting Engineers New Zealand (ACENZ) Awards of Excellence gala.

Held at the Christchurch Town Hall, these prestigious awards recognise excellence and innovation across the engineering consulting sector.

Beca was extremely honoured and proud to be able to celebrate with our clients, and to take home the following awards:

Project lead for the Gold-Award-winning Mangere BNR upgrade, Rob Burchell, Beca Business Director – Major Projects, said, “This award recognises the collaboration model at its best; this was the result of a partnership between Watercare, CH2M Beca, McConnell Dowell and HEB bringing together resources to ‘Do It Better Together’. We are all proud of what we accomplished on the Mangere BNR Upgrade.”

“It was an absolute honour representing everyone from Beca involved in the Well Connected Alliance which delivered Waterview Connection - such a transformational project for Auckland,” said Matt Sturge, Beca Technical Director – Civil Structures. “Receiving a Gold Award of Excellence is fantastic recognition from the industry and our peers of the outstanding consulting work delivered by Beca and all of our alliance partners,” he added.

Also recognised on the night were two of Beca’s future leaders, Steven Roskruge and Rebecca McMahon, who were proud finalists of this year’s Future Leader Award.
