More Trains, More Services

Beca developed the business case for Transport for NSW's More Trains, More Services strategy, a 40-year plan to expand and modernise Sydney's suburban rail network. The work helped secure multi-billion-dollar funding for staged upgrades across key corridors, giving the city a long-term framework for rail investment and growth.

Coles Meat Processing Facility

The Coles Meat Processing Facility in Western Sydney is one of the largest and most automated food processing facilities in Australia. We supported the design and delivery of the plant, integrating process, building and services engineering so the facility can operate at high volume within a tightly controlled food safety environment.

Sydney Airport EV Study

Our EV study for Kingsford Smith Airport developed a strategy to reduce airside emissions by converting ground operations fleet vehicles to electric. Working with airport stakeholders and ground handling agencies, we assessed infrastructure needs, fleet transition impacts and policy settings to produce a plan grounded in operational and commercial reality.

Pacific Highway Upgrade

A challenging stretch of the Pacific Highway Upgrade required a road design suited to a soft ground floodplain adjacent to the Clarence River. Bringing together geotechnical, structural and road design expertise, we produced a solution that manages soft soils and flood risk while meeting the durability and safety standards required for a major NSW highway.

Parramatta Light Rail

Beca's involvement in the Parramatta Light Rail covers urban infrastructure design, traffic modelling and environmental planning and approvals. Working alongside TfNSW and delivery partners, we have helped integrate the new light rail into existing streets, development sites and transport networks across the Parramatta corridor.

Toohey's Depalletiser Replacement

The Toohey's Depalletiser Replacement in Lidcombe overhauled the brewery's can and bottle handling system, which now processes 360,000 units per hour using automated robotics. We supported the project from concept through to commissioning, coordinating structural and services changes so the upgrade could be delivered within a live 24/7 production environment.
