Beca to make everyday better for South Australian clients as Adelaide office established

Beca is excited to cement our commitment to supporting South Australian clients, by opening our newest office at 99 Gawler Place Adelaide.

As one of the largest employee-owned professional services consultancies in the Asia-Pacific region with more than 750 employees across Australia and over 4,000 regionally, Beca will bring our specialist engineering and consulting services to the state’s fast-growing defence, industrial and water sectors.

This follows our successful application to the South Australian Landing Pad (SALP) grant which provides support to companies looking to establish in the state.

In commenting on this exciting development, our Australian Managing Director Craig Lee said, “We’re proud to cement our presence in South Australia through an Adelaide office. It will be a base from which we can strengthen our existing client partnerships and support the growth of the region through relevant and exciting opportunities in the defence, water, transport and industrial sectors.

With South Australia leading the nation in a number of fields, including the space and defence sectors, combined with incentives from Invest SA, now is the right time for us to grow our geographical footprint and partner closely with local firms to deliver great outcomes that make every day better for the South Australian community”.

Craig’s words were echoed by our newly-appointed Business Director – South Australia, Sam McCarthy who said, “I am looking forward to bringing my experience gained from a diverse background in the planning and delivery of public infrastructure to Beca. This will enable us to support our clients to overcome the complex challenges we know are being faced by our region in the coming years.”

While our Adelaide office might be new, Beca has already been supporting the growth of the state and clients in South Australia for several years.

Notable local projects we’re delivering include the Adelaide Airport Main Runway and Taxiways Overlay Project as Lead Design Consultants, National Airfields Maintenance Program and Maritime Structures Program for the Department of Defence.

Other projects include Liberty Steel Whyalla, Nyrstar Port Pirie, Thomas Foods International’s advanced food manufacturing plant at Murray Bridge, and SA Water Engineering Panel Projects through our Australian water business, Beca HunterH2O.

Beca aims to grow our South Australian team from 10 employees to over 30 staff members by 2027. Visit our new Adelaide office here!
