Melbourne Airport Terminal 4

Beca was involved in the design and staging of Melbourne Airport's Southern Apron Expansion, which supports the new Terminal 4 catering for around 10 million domestic passengers each year. We developed airfield pavement design and meticulous construction staging so the airport could continue operations while works were underway.

Melbourne Airport Taxiway Extension

Melbourne Airport’s extension of Taxiway Victor South added 45,000 m² of new taxiway to support future growth. As project managers working in a live airfield environment, we helped tackle challenges such as hazardous materials, complex staging, multiple stakeholders, and keeping the runway and taxiways operational throughout construction.

Port Of Melbourne Capacity Expansion

Our specialists were instrumental in the ambitious Port Capacity Project for the Port of Melbourne, Australasia’s largest container port. We provided contract, design, project and CAD management to help deliver Australia’s newest container terminal, new motor vehicle import facilities and associated infrastructure.

Victoria Desalination Plant

We helped deliver the Victorian Desalination Plant, one of the largest reverse-osmosis desalination plants in the world that’s also considered among Australia’s most technically advanced and environmentally sensitive. The facility is capable of producing 150 billion litres of drinking water per year and expandable to 200 billion litres if required.

Mernda Rail Extension

The Mernda Rail Extension brought a fast, regular train service to Melbourne's outer north-eastern suburbs. We contributed building services and civil engineering expertise, helping design and integrate the new railway stations, carpark layouts, rail-under-road grade separations and a train stabling yard.

Frankston Level Crossing Removals

We are helping to remove level crossings on the Frankston railway line as part of the Victorian Government's Level Crossing Removal Project. Our work supports engineering designs that separate road and rail movements, improve traffic flow and enhance safety and amenity for nearby residents.
