Discover how Priyani de Silva-Currie became the world’s first Certified Fellow in Asset Management, shaping global standards and driving innovation.
At Beca, one of our key drivers is to create positive outcomes that endure across generations—both through the projects we deliver globally and through the people who shape them. Priyani de Silva-Currie MNZM, who was recently named the world’s first Certified Fellow in Asset Management (CFAM) by World Partners in Asset Management, is already building such legacies.

Priyani is a Beca Principal and Technical Fellow of Strategic Asset Management, and Vice President of IFME (International Federation of Municipal Engineering). Her track record of contribution to the asset management profession is already remarkable.

This year alone, she was appointed a Member of the New Zealand Order of Merit for services to multicultural communities, netball and civil engineering, and became the first recipient of the Asset Management Chartered Professional (AMCP) accreditation through the Āpōpō Professional Practice Accreditation programme.

Now, as the first person globally to be recognised as a Certified Fellow in Asset Management by World Partners in Asset Management, Priyani’s career-long excellence and international industry influence have been formally acknowledged.

This accolade is reserved for people whose leadership and contribution have significantly shaped the asset management profession. It recognises individuals whose work has helped define the future of asset management, extending well beyond their own roles.

Based in Whakatū Nelson in Aotearoa New Zealand, Priyani has made sustained, meaningful contributions—advancing asset management thinking, education and standards, and influencing national and global practice through her leadership. We couldn’t be prouder of Priyani and more excited about the enduring impact she is creating to strengthen asset management in Aotearoa New Zealand and around the world.
