Paul Jackson elected to Engineers Australia Victorian Divisional Committee

Beca’s Paul Jackson, Section Manager – Water AU, has recently been elected to the Engineers Australia Victorian Divisional Committee, with his tenure commencing 1 January 2020.

On the committee, Paul will provide leadership and direction, initiate and support local programs to advance the engineering profession, provide members improved services, and represent Engineers Australia in public forums and media opportunities.

"I am immensely proud and humbled by this opportunity to serve the members of Engineers Australia (Victoria) in such a pivotal leadership role, and to use my experience to give back to the engineering community which has given me so much," says Paul.

"I look forward to working with my colleagues and peers on the committee to positively contribute to Engineers Australia’s great culture and vision, and to engage our diverse membership base. I will use my expertise, enthusiasm and commitment to grow our leadership on infrastructure investment, highlight the importance of engineering in mitigating climate change, and influence our State’s social procurement approach and ethical purchasing."

Tenure on the Victorian Divisional Committee is for a term of two years, with the potential for re-election or re-appointment for two further consecutive terms.

Paul has 22 years’ experience in the design, construction, commissioning and operation of large-scale water infrastructure across Australia. He has delivered projects under a wide range of contractual instruments including Early Contractor Involvement, Design and Construct, and alliancing.

His specialist skills include project management of multi-disciplinary projects, program/portfolio management, commercial negotiations, wastewater treatment, wastewater recycling, conveyancing and obtaining statutory approvals.

Engineers Australia is the largest and most diverse body of engineers in Australia.
