Beca’s Thailand office has become ISO 19650-2 certified, a global standard that governs the management of information regarding built assets over their entire lifecycle, using Building Information Modelling (BIM) processes.
Beca’s Thailand office is the latest to join its ISO 19650-2 certification, with its New Zealand, Australia and Singapore businesses certified in 2022 and its Indonesia businesses certified in 2025. ISO 19650 is an international standard that defines the collaborative processes for the effective management of information. Specifically, ISO 19650-2 covers the delivery phase of assets when using BIM.
Glenn Jowett, Beca Technical Director – Digital Engineering Advisory led the certification process: “The certification of our Thailand business further reinforces Beca’s position as a leader in BIM across the Asia Pacific. We’ve got proven experience delivering projects in line with the standard, and our certification in Thailand expands our platform to reduce time lost through rework and duplication of effort, and effectively manage BIM risks for our clients across the region,” he says.
“For our design teams and downstream users of digital information, we know alignment to this international standard helps increase predictability around cost and time through a common approach to the management of information.”
Achieving this certification is the result of extraordinary efforts from Beca’s Thailand team who had been preparing for the certification process with Bureau Veritas for some time.

This standard is formally known as ISO 19650-2:2018: ‘Organization and digitization of information about buildings and civil engineering works, including building information modelling (BIM) — Information management using building information modelling: Delivery phase of the assets’.
