We are delighted to announce the appointment of Chris Dunlop as Central Regional Manager – New Zealand. Chris will be responsible for overseeing Beca’s market facing activity across the Central region business of approx. 400 professionals.
Darryl-Lee Wendelborn, Managing Director – New Zealand, said, “We are really excited to welcome Chris into this role. He is a true people-person, and already has great relationships with many of our clients in the Central region. I’m looking forward to seeing him expand this network in the Regional Manager role, where he will be aligning our offering across the different parts of our business to bring the best of Beca to our clients.”
Chris has been with Beca since 2010 and has held several key positions during that time, including Branch Manager for Beca’s Palmerston North office, and more recently, branch management for the Central Region. The Regional Manager role will see him work closely with our Central Region branch managers in New Plymouth, Palmerston North and Wellington, as well as Beca’s regional and market facing leaders to continue the successful work our teams have been doing with local and national clients.
Chris’ 25 years in the construction industry set him up well for this role. Starting his career in New Zealand in 1986, Chris moved to the UK for 18 years, before returning to New Zealand shores in 2010 with Beca in Wellington. During that time, he has led teams delivering large and technically complex projects across the commercial, retail, education, health, defence, and government sectors.
“I’m looking forward to bringing all the elements of my previous roles to the Regional Manager position,” said Chris. “I really enjoy working with different people and learning about different industries and this role will allow me to do that within and outside of Beca. I love living in Central New Zealand and I want to help Beca and our clients achieve great things in the region.”
Chris’ appointment commenced 4 June 2019.
