We are pleased to announce that Anna Lewis has been appointed as our next General Manager – Community Shaping, effective 7 August 2023, replacing John Duffy who is stepping down from the role after 12 years.
Anna is a Technical Director – Planning and has been with Beca for 14 years and has worked on a wide variety of projects and in offices across the country during that time. Based in Tauranga, Anna is currently the Operations Manager for Community Shaping and has spent time across our Wellington, Auckland, and Tauranga offices.
"I am passionate about our Community Shaping team and excited about the opportunity to help lead Beca into the future and respond to our clients’ needs in an increasingly complex market," says Anna.
Anna has also been involved in significant transportation and water infrastructure projects across New Zealand and relishes working in collaborative, cross discipline environments often on construction alliance projects.
Community Shaping is a fundamental part of our Advisory Group, and plays an integral role in influencing the future of the communities we live and work in. Alongside our design practice, transport advisory, environmental and sustainability advisory and planning, communications and engagement teams, we offer diverse services to support clients in shaping and making good for outcome decisions at the front end of projects.
We would also like to thank John Duffy for his time at the helm and his significant contributions to our business while in the General Manager role.
