Beca was ranked 112th in the Singapore’s Best Employers 2023 which was announced on Tuesday by The Straits Times and Statista. The ranking recognises the top 250 companies in Singapore that excel in employee engagement, workplace culture, and talent development.
Singapore's Best Employers 2023 is a comprehensive and independent survey, conducted anonymously through several online panels and The Straits Times website, to assess the attractiveness of employers in Singapore. Over 17,000 employees from organisations across Singapore completed this year's survey, providing more than 200, 000 recommendations. The scores of the 250 awarded companies place them among the top 12 percent of eligible companies from the initial list.
Commenting on the ranking, our Managing Director for Singapore and Myanmar, Lee Ang Seng, said, "It’s an honour to be recognised as one of the best employers in Singapore, and even more heartening that this recognition was given by our people. It’s a validation of our efforts to nurture our talents to their fullest potential, care for their well-being, and provide an open and inclusive workplace, which has resulted in strong employee engagement."
This year, we have launched new benefits including Wellbeing Leave and Volunteer Leave as part of our new Beca Benefits model that comprises of three pillars: Care, Belong and Learn. The Wellbeing Leave provides paid time away for our employees to focus on their wellbeing through engaging in activities or events that help them maintain their wellness, while the Volunteer Leave is a way in which we can support and empower them to give back to the community, a charity or a cause that matters to them. These new initiatives were introduced as part of our benefits review and reflects the feedback from all employees on what matters most to them in how we reward and recognise our people.
Beca's recognition as one of the best employers in Singapore is a testament to our commitment to creating a positive work environment where our people can belong. We remain dedicated in investing in our talents, and one of the ways is through designing training programmes that can support them in developing their career path,” said Suhaily Binte Samsudin, People & Culture Business Manager – Singapore.
