We are excited to announce that Chris Oakes has been selected for the prestigious 2021 Roads Australia Fellowship Program - a unique mentoring initiative that brings the industry’s most promising leaders together with some of the infrastructure sector’s most experienced and respected executives.
The national program pairs industry mentors with managers of 10 to 15 years’ experience who exhibit strong leadership potential, and provides opportunities and encouragement to develop leadership skills, build strong networks and stay engaged and connected in industry.
“To be selected for this program from among my talented peers in the industry, makes me feel both humbled and very honoured. The opportunity to learn from a selected mentor that has been matched to me is really exciting and I believe will provide invaluable growth in my leadership skills and abilities throughout the program - and as importantly, for how I lead and support my colleagues and clients here at Beca,” says Chris Oakes, Senior Associate - Transport and Infrastructure NSW.
The national program will run for 12 months, with intensive mentoring and a group project, before coming together at the end of the year for the presentation ceremony. Mentors include current and former chief executives of transport agencies and major private sector infrastructure companies, and senior political leaders.
