Celebrating excellence at the 2023 PCNZ Awards

A glittering night of celebration, at the Property Council New Zealand Rider Levett Bucknall Property Industry Awards on Friday 23 June, saw Beca’s contributions and diverse expertise being recognised across numerous projects.

Commenting on the award recognitions, Lindon Jackson says, “It was incredibly exciting and humbling to have our contribution in so many projects recognised with awards across a variety of categories. We’re excited for our clients and partners, as well as everyone involved in these award-winning projects.  We’re particularly proud of our sustainability influence across these projects and our focus of making everyday better in the built environment.”

Taking out the Best in Category award for the Holmes Group Tourism & Leisure Property Award was the Cloudy Bay Vineyards (Founders’ Cellars) project. The judges recognised the clever adaptive reuse and seismic upgrade that transformed the original Cellar One into a world-class wine-making and visitor experience. Ethan Duff, Senior Building Scientist – Sustainable Buildings, who accepted the award says, "For me, it was an absolute pleasure to work with Cloudy Bay Vineyards creating a world-class customer experience and a small-batch wine production space in a responsible and sustainable way. What a great way to have this project recognised with a PCNZ award alongside it being New Zealand's first 5-Star Green Star commercial winery building."

Beca also acted as Project Manager in the Best in Category winner for the Greenstone Group Education Property Award for the Whangārei Boys’ High School project, which took top honours in a field of 14 educational projects to take the title, courtesy of ASC Architects’ submission.
