Beca is excited to be announced as the fourth top overall employer in Aotearoa and number one in the Construction & Engineering category for the fifth year in a row.
The Randstad Annual Employer Brand Research survey is conducted by Kantar for Randstad with over 4,000 New Zealanders taking part in 2021 and asks them to rate their perceptions of employment attractiveness for over 150 NZ companies (with >1000 employees).Beca rated fourth most attractive overall, ranking particularly high in attractive salary and benefits, financially healthy, and offering a COVID-19 safe work environment. For the first time, respondents ranked work/life balance as more important than salary and benefits, demonstrating a significant shift in employee priorities over last year.
“So much has changed over the last 18 months,’ says Aotearoa Managing Director Darryl-Lee Wendelborn. “2020 was a year of responding, adapting and focusing on the wellbeing of our people as together we navigated new technologies, new ways of working and uncertainty. We have held fast to our values of care, partnership, tenacity and enjoyment to ensure our people can continue to make everyday better for our clients and communities and enjoy what they do.”
Aotearoa Talent Acquisition Manager Heather Douglas added, “Moving up to fourth place overall, in spite of external challenges over this time, is testament to our ongoing commitment to creating positive and productive environments where our people can thrive. As we enter our second century in 2021, we will continue to prioritise sustainable business practices, celebrating diversity and inclusion and using digital transformation to support flexibility and remote working.”
