Beca appoints Stuart Tucker as new Chief Technical Officer

Beca is pleased to announce the appointment of Stuart Tucker to the role of Chief Technical Officer, effective 1 February 2024.

In his new role, Stuart will lead Beca’s technical strategy and standards, building capability to ensure quality, value, and sustainability of solutions delivered across our markets, and foster a culture of innovation alongside delivery excellence.

Stuart has a proven track record of delivering successful outcomes for complex and large infrastructure projects and project designs, including the Victoria Park Tunnel and the Waterview Connection in Auckland. He has over 30 years in the consulting and civil construction sectors – much of it spent managing large engineering teams within integrated design processes.

Starting out as a graduate engineer at Beca, Stuart went on to hold a wide range of leadership roles including General Manager of the Transport and Infrastructure business across Australia and New Zealand, and most recently as Business Director – Major Projects & Partners. His reputation for successful design management reflects his ability to balance attention to detail with a strong focus on delivery and a best-for-project approach.

Stuart succeeds Craig Price, who has been our Chief Technical Officer since 2017. Craig has been appointed Chief Operating Officer, responsible for leading Beca Group’s operational strategy and business performance.
