Beca is excited to announce the relocation of our Melbourne office to the city’s Central Business District in the second half of 2024, as we sign a lease for levels 22-23 in the Melbourne Quarter Tower development.

As one of Asia Pacific’s largest employee-owned advisory, design and engineering consultancies, our relocation signifies an incredible milestone after 55 years of operations in Australia.

This move will bring us closer to our clients, people, and communities by strengthening partnerships; reinforcing our purpose to make everyday better, together.

The new 34-storey building, under construction at 693 Collins Street, Docklands on the traditional lands of the Woiwurrung people of the Kulin Nation, is targeting a 6 Green Star Design and As Built, 5 Stars NABERS energy rating with renewable electricity to the base building, and a WELL Platinum (Core) rating, and the workplace is designed with flexible working practices in mind for our 400 Victorian-based employees.

With design architect practice Gray Puksand, Beca is working to create a space where we can live and breathe our values, where we can continue to put our people at the heart of what we do and foster authentic human connections. It is also an opportunity to model the sustainable future we envision at Beca.

We are bringing to life an appreciation and understanding for the history of our First Nations people in our spaces, and carefully selecting low carbon materials throughout the design and construction of our office space.

"It’s not just a new address, it’s a real step to better position ourselves to serve our clients, communities, and people on an even greater scale" - Phil Card, VIC State Manager

In commenting on this exciting move, our acting Australian Managing Director David Papps said, “We are delighted to be moving to Melbourne Quarter Tower. Situated in the Melbourne Quarter precinct, the location is a step forward for our business and aligns with Beca’s overall commitment to have a positive impact on the world.

We are excited to have co-designed the new space, including with input from the Woiwurrung people of the Kulin Nation. Each design decision has been deliberate - from location to interior design elements. The result will be a space that fosters collaboration and connection amongst our people, partners and clients for an exciting future."

Beca’s State Manager of Victoria, Phil Card, added, “We are committed to growing our Australian business, strengthening partnerships, and creating an engaging space for our people. It’s not just a new address, it’s a real step to better position ourselves to serve our clients, communities, and people on an even greater scale.”

Lendlease Managing Director Development, Tom Mackellar said: “Beca’s move to Melbourne Quarter Tower will see them join the growing number of companies opting for premium, mixed-use office precincts that create the best workplace experience for their people, and support productivity.

“With immediate access to transport along with sought after retail and amenity, our Melbourne Quarter precinct continues to grow into a thriving hub of activity that’s highly attractive to tenant partners, as well as workers, residents and visitors."

We look forward to making the move to our new Melbourne home later this year.
