Beca is pleased to announce the appointment of Sanchia Jacobs as Director, Local Government Advisory who joins Beca on 24 April, 2023.
"On behalf of the Advisory team and Beca whānau, I’m very pleased to welcome Sanchia into this pivotal leadership role," Group Director Advisory Amelia Linzey says.
"With the impact of the once-in-a-generation reforms, the complex multi-agency response to extreme weather events, and the necessary planning for climate change and sustainability, this role will be key to our work right across New Zealand."
Sanchia has extensive experience working across the Local Government sector in building strategic relationships with a range of stakeholders to deliver programmes addressing major reform; capital asset management; long-term spatial plans and meeting community requirements as well as building relationships with iwi. Most recently, Sanchia spent five years as Chief Executive of Central Otago District Council.
"Beca is a business that I have long admired, where the company values completely align with my own. It has been a trusted partner of local government for decades. I am really excited about the opportunity to join the Beca team and help navigate the local government sector as it goes through reform and recovers from recent weather events. I look forward to supporting objectives with local government partners in the years ahead," Sanchia says.
