As an experienced board chair, non-executive director, audit & risk committee chair and CFO, Jason is well-versed in the power, utilities, resources and green technology sectors.
"We are honoured to have Jason join our Board. His unique sector expertise and experience in the management and governance of commercial companies perfectly aligns with our key strategic priorities," David said.
Jason Conroy is a Sydney-based professional company director. He is the chair of Birdwood Distributed Energy Platform (backed by Aware Super), and a non-executive director of PWR Holdings Limited (ASX: PWH, from 1 May 2024) and of Symphony Infrastructure Partners.
Jason’s 30-year executive career to 2021 included CFO roles with Transgrid, Australia’s largest electricity transmission and renewables grid connections business, and with DUET Group, an ASX100 member that owned five energy infrastructure and utility businesses. Additionally, he has extensive experience, including in the fields of M&A, corporate finance, complex project delivery and business transformation.
He is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD), a Fellow of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (FCA) and holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting).
Jason Conroy says, "I am excited to be joining the Beca Group Limited board and look forward to playing a part in the ongoing success of Beca’s energy ambitions in the Australia and New Zealand markets. I believe that Beca is uniquely positioned to play an important role in accelerating the energy transition and sustainability goals of its clients and communities in these markets."
In welcoming Jason to the BGL board, David Carter also acknowledged the massive contribution of BGL Director Sandra Dodds, who stepped down from the Board on 31 March 2024. Sandra proactively engaged with the business, particularly in Australia, and her insights and highly effective governance approach has been most impactful. We wish her the very best for her future.
