Beca partners with Steel Blue and RSEA to offer serious support for mental health awareness

Beca Australia has partnered with safety boot manufacturer Steel Blue and safety specialists, RSEA Safety, to support Beyond Blue in their efforts to raise awareness of mental health issues and reduce stigma.

We’re proud to be involved in this initiative, whereby $10 from every pair of Steel Blue men’s or ladies blue safety boots we purchase for our field staff, will be donated directly to Beyond Blue’s Support Service. Steel Blue are our preferred supplier for steel cap safety boots in Australia, a relationship that stretches back a number of years.

As part of our partnership on this important initiative, the Melbourne office hosted a Friday morning tea session on October 25, led by Beyond Blue volunteer speaker Tim Richardson. Tim, a father of four, has more than 30 years’ experience working in professional engineering, technical sales and management roles across both private and public sectors.

During the morning tea he shared his own experience with mental health through a powerful story, and how he’s been able to manage this condition to return to a full and “normal” life.

With awareness growing around common conditions such as anxiety and depression and the stigma steadily lifting across society, we’ll continue playing our part to make every day better for our people, our clients and the broader community.
