On 14 May 2015, our Singapore team proudly won the 2015 Building Construction Authority (BCA) Built Environment Leadership Award. The award is a well deserved recognition of their outstanding excellence and leadership in shaping a safe, high quality, sustainable and friendly built environment in Singapore.
The award was announced at the Annual BCA Awards Dinner in Sentosa. Guests joined in the celebrations and networked with more than 2000 industry practitioners including developers, government officials, architects, engineers and builders.
Lee Tuck Cheong, General Manager of Beca Corporate Services in Singapore was "Delighted to accept the award on behalf of the team. It demonstrates our industry leadership and our keen involvement in research and development studies to improve Singapore's built environment."
Steve Perkins, Beca Singapore Building Services Operations Manager says, "We've been actively involved in initiatives to advance the industry's capability. This includes increasing industry productivity through the adoption of Building Information Modeling (BIM) and use of prefabricated volumetric construction techniques, as well as research and development work in the fields of energy efficiency, environmental sustainability and thermal comfort."
"Our team is passionate about industry group participation and many of our staff do so in their evenings after work; people like Tan Kiat Leong who is a member of four institutional research and development advisory panels, and Karl Wilkinson who is chair of the Association of Consulting Engineers Singapore Young Professionals group."
"It's great for our team to receive external recognition that their efforts are important and are helping to lead and strengthen our industry."
