Beca's Infrastructure team has strengthened its leadership with the recent appointments of Mark Harris, Business Director - Rail, and Craig Allen, Technical Director - Civil Structural Engineering.

Mark, who is based in Sydney, has over 30 years of extensive experience in the rail industry and is heavily involved with a number of key rail industry groups; currently, he is the NSW President of the Permanent Way Institution.
Mark has spent the bulk of his career delivering multi-disciplined rail projects in a Project Director or Project Management capacity. He has worked on a number of major rail infrastructure projects including the Sydney Airport Rail link, Cross City Tunnel, Rail Clearways program, and the Epping to Chatswood Railway in Sydney.
Mark has previously worked for Laing O'Rourke as their National Business Development Manager for their Rail group and spent a number of years with the Government Railway in NSW. He brings to Beca deep knowledge of the rail industry across Australia and Asia and an extensive network of contacts across private and public sector clients. Mark will work closely with our Rail team to identify new opportunities and develop and grow our future rail capabilities.
Craig Allen brings over 25 years of broad experience in all aspects of bridge and civil structure design and construction where he has successfully managed a cross-section of teams in varying sizes, delivering a range of infrastructure and bridge projects throughout the world, including the USA and Taiwan.
Craig has most recently worked for Jacobs Engineering where in addition to his design management role, he was the Relationship Client Manager for Delivery Partners and brings with him a solid network of contacts and a thorough understanding of the Design and Construction market in Australia. Craig has worked on major projects such as the West Gate Bridge Strengthening Alliance, the Regional Rail Link and most recently led the bridge design for the East West link bid.
Craig will be based in Melbourne and will work closely with our Transport team to help strengthen our transport infrastructure business.
