We are proud to announce that Weng Yuen Kam, Senior Associate – Structural Engineering, was named the 2018 Tonkin + Taylor ACENZ Future Leader. The Association of Consulting Engineers New Zealand (ACENZ) INNOVATE Awards ceremony, held on Friday, 3 August in Hamilton New Zealand, acknowledged both people and projects.
“I am elated to win the award. It’s great to see leadership beyond traditional line management recognised. Thank you to the judges for their feedback and time, to Beca for the amazing career support and opportunities, and to Neil Horsfield, General Manager – Structures, for his nomination and for being an inspirational role model,” said Kam in summary of Friday’s win.

University of Auckland Science Centre – Merit Award
Waikoukou – Transpower Head Office – Merit Award
Hawera Substation – Merit Award
Transpower’s Hawera Substation provides a critical power supply to a number of stakeholders in the Taranaki region, including the 12,000- strong Hawera Township, Fonterra’s Whareroa dairy factory, Trustpower’s Patea Generation, and the Origin Energy-operated Kupe onshore gas production station.
