DUO Singapore & MahaNakhon Bangkok win excellence awards

Two of our projects - DUO in Singapore and King Power MahaNakhon in Bangkok – have received ‘Awards of Excellence’ from the prestigious Council on Tall Buildings & Urban Habitat (CTBUH), the international body for skyscraper design.

Lee Ang Seng, Managing Director Singapore, described the accolades as “a big win for our skilled engineers who have demonstrated a great level of vision and client service to deliver these iconic, high-rise building developments in two of the region’s most exciting cities”.

DUO was recognised in the ‘Tall Building 100-199 meters’ category for its two Ole Scheeren-designed towers that combine office and retail space with exceptional environmental performance.

Meanwhile, King Power MahaNakhon was recognised in the ‘Tall Building 300-399 meters’ category for its striking form. Standing tall at 77 floors, the hotel and residential development is currently the second tallest building in the Thai capital.

Both these projects will now compete at the 2019 Tall+Urban Innovation Conference in Shenzhen China, to become overall ‘Best Tall Building’ winner in their respective height categories.

Marina One in Singapore also received an Award of Excellence in the ‘Best Tall Building Asia and Australasia’ category at the 2018 awards.

With impressive competition from other iconic high-rise developments, including Baidu HQ Shenzhen, One Park Taipei, Manhattan Loft Gardens London and Citic Tower Beijing; our position on both these lists is testament to the quality of work our teams have delivered.
