Darryl-Lee Wendelborn joins construction health & safety board

Darryl-Lee Wendelborn, Managing Director - New Zealand, has joined the executive leadership team of Construction Health & Safety NZ (CHASNZ), a new charitable trust developed to provide leadership of health & safety in the construction industry. The trust replaces the Construction Safety Council and will take over ownership of ConstructSafe, the safety competency assessment programme.

Representing Consultants in the industry, Darryl-Lee joins 10 senior industry leaders to make up the CHASNZ board. CHASNZ will work in partnership with the Government, regulators and unions to deliver a unified plan to create consistency and simplification of industry standards, systems, measurement and expectations across the construction industry.

“We all know how important health & safety is for the construction industry,” said Darryl-Lee. “I feel privileged to be working alongside such influential sector leaders to align our approach and make positive change happen.
