On Thursday 3 May Beca proudly received the Lion Beer Australia Services Supplier of the Year award at their annual supplier recognition dinner held in Sydney.
Themed 'Working in partnership with our suppliers to achieve sustainable growth', the award was presented by the Lion Beer Supply Chain Director, Ian Roberts in recognition of a supplier that has excelled in safety, quality, service and cost in the category of services, packing or ingredients.
Luke Sawyer, Group Engineering and Environment Director, Lion Group said Beca has been a long term partner for Lion, and has made significant contributions to the group-wide capital works program.
“Beca has been working closely with us for many years. They have built strong relationships with our Supply Chain and Group Engineering teams and also the engineering teams at each of our sites, and they have consistently delivered strong results for us,” Luke said.
“They have helped us with several major capital upgrades through the 2017 financial year. Of particular note is the work Beca has done around the Tooheys Palletiser project which has been a great success. This upgrade has given us an improved safety environment as well as uplifts in flexibility and agility to support NPD and customer services requirements,” he said.
Rhys Davies, Business Director – Industrial, was delighted to accept the award on Beca’s behalf at the event held on the Starship cruise of the Sydney harbour.
“Lion is a fantastic company that constantly challenges us to create greater value and service innovation. To be recognised by this Lion award is just fabulous,” Rhys said.
This is the second time in two years Lion has recognised Beca’s contribution to the business. In 2017 we recognised with an Innovation Award for our work developing and implementing an interactive web-based toll to support Lion’s capital Works Management program.
Beca has been a long term partner to Lion, providing engineering and project management consultancy services for more than fifty years.
