Beca welcomes Doug Humphrey as our new Technical Director – Civil Design

Beca is pleased to welcome Doug Humphrey as our new Technical Director – Civil Design, based in our Melbourne office.
Having joined Beca’s Transport and Infrastructure team this week, Doug will assume responsibility for further strengthening our capability and industry profile in the highly active Australian roading market.

With over 20 years’ Civil Engineering experience working in the Transport and Infrastructure space, Doug has been involved in successfully delivering large-scale public infrastructure projects across Australia, Asia and the Middle East, ranging from roads and highways, rail and light rail. This includes the Southern Program Alliance Level Crossing Removals, the Harbour Esplanade Redevelopment in Melbourne, Victorian Regional Rail Link and Qatar Expressway Program in Qatar.

Doug says “I look forward to leading a growing team and understanding where the opportunities for development are, so we can continue to deliver innovative outcomes across various levels that serve both our clients and the community.”

Doug is also a Chartered Engineer Associate (AMIEAust CEngA NER) with Engineers Australia, and has extensive knowledge of leading software tools including OpenRoads Designer, Civil 3D Civil Design Software, AutoCAD and Microstation Drafting Software. His experience leading large, diverse teams also makes him an adept manager of people, further complementing his technical expertise.
