Charlotte Mok, a senior mechanical engineer at Beca, was awarded ACES Young Consulting Engineer of the Year for her outstanding contribution to the profession at the Association of Consulting Engineers Singapore (ACES) annual award ceremony on Friday 31 March.
This is the fourth year in a row that a Beca young engineer has won this award. Previous recipients were Edi Hartono in 2016, Galvin Chua in 2015 and Ho Cher Ri in 2014.
The award aims to recognise, celebrate and encourage young consulting engineers working in Singapore who have made a substantial contribution to engineering and completed excellent work that demonstrates their design and technical expertise.
Charlotte has been with Beca since 2010. Her showcase project was Nanyang Technological University (NTU) – a young, research intensive university ranked 13th globally. NTU upgraded its existing mechanical and electrical infrastructure to achieve increased performance and robustness. Charlotte shared her contribution and challenges as a consulting engineer for the project.
“I was privileged to be given the opportunity to share my showcase project and life as an engineer in Singapore. Being an engineer in itself is an exciting experience” says Charlotte. “I am incredibly honoured to receive this award and I am proud to represent Beca and to be a young female engineer in Singapore.”
Congratulations Charlotte on this outstanding achievement! For more information about the awards, visit the ACES website.
