We are thrilled to announce that Beca has been voted as New Zealand's 'Most Attractive Employer' in the Construction & Engineering sector. Our People & Culture team received the award at the 2016 Randstad Awards gala event in Auckland last week.
Voted via 'people's choice', the awards are based directly on Randstad's survey research – the largest independent survey into employer branding. It measures over 7000 responses around the strength, prominence, attractiveness and activity of employer brands in New Zealand.
This achievement closely follows the team's recent success, winning 'Best Graduate Development Programme' at the NZAGE Awards, and ' Emerging HR Practitioner of the Year ' and 'HR Generalist of the Year' at the HRINZ Awards.
"Our employer brand is about who we are, our people – the whole business can be very proud of the fact that Beca is perceived as one of the country's most attractive employers," says Richard Long, People & Culture – Recruitment Manager.
Randstad New Zealand's Country Manager, Brien Keegan says, "It's clear your commitment to and investment in your people, your image and your organisation is valued by New Zealanders."
Mr Keegan says that given New Zealand's competitive labour market, it's critical organisations look at ways in which they can attract, inspire and retain a team of talented and skilled individuals.
"Investing in your employer brand is essential and will certainly give you a competitive edge," he says.
