We’re excited to announce that Beca has recently signed a three-year agreement with the Institute of Public Works Engineering Australasia New Zealand (IPWEA NZ). This exclusive Partners Support Programme is open to just a few organisations.
“It is a real privilege to have this opportunity to influence and actively participate in the development of the public asset management sector,” says Priyani de Silva-Currie, Principal in Beca’s Asset Advisory team.

“This is a great example of Beca taking positive further steps to enhance and grow our Asset Advisory service offering, and as such has been strongly supported by the wider Beca business including Digital, Water and Transport."

"We wanted to find ways to support our clients to achieve improved asset management maturity, performance, and outcomes. Being a  IPWEA NZ Partner will give us a strong platform from which to gain industry insight and be part of a group of leaders in asset management”.

As an industry association covering the whole of Australasia, IPWEA’s goal is to support public asset management excellence to create sustainable communities. This will be especially important in New Zealand as we navigate through a period of major government and legislative reform.

Through the Partners Support Programme, IPWEA NZ benefits from having access to organisations in the industry who can demonstrate strong leadership, and expertise when it comes to managing and protecting our public assets in an ever-changing landscape.

The support programme also seeks:
  • To assist in highlighting the importance of asset management in public works infrastructure, being ambassadors for asset management throughout industry.
  • To ensure IPWEA NZ has close and mutually valuable relationships with industry.
  • To provide IPWEA NZ with ready and varied access to expertise across all public asset management disciplines.
As a Partner, Beca will play a part in supporting career and professional development in related disciplines to grow the industry from grass roots management to strategic policy. “I am delighted to welcome Beca as an IPWEA NZ Partner,” confirms Murray Pugh, Chief Executive of IPWEA NZ.

“Having close linkages with organisations who are at the forefront of asset management practice is critical for IPWEA NZ to be able to represent our profession effectively. Beca brings to its relationship with IPWEA NZ an outstanding capability in asset management that will support our credibility and relevance as we strive for sustainable communities enabled by public asset management excellence. We are excited to be working with Beca’s team.”
