Beca is pleased to welcome Andrew Harvey as a new Technical Director in our Auckland-based Ports and Coastal team.

Having joined Beca earlier this month, Andrew will take on a leading role in maintaining and further strengthening our ports, marine and coastal capability. 

With 25 years’ experience in the maritime engineering sector, Andrew has been involved in the port planning, consenting, design and construction of major ports and marine infrastructure projects around the globe including the UK, Europe, India, Middle East, Asia and Australia. He is also a Member of the Institute of Civil Engineers (UK) and has gained widespread experience in multidisciplinary design team and business management. With a Masters in Construction Law and Dispute Resolution, Andrew is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and his work has included a strong emphasis on contract preparation and administration. 

“I am very much looking forward to being part of the growing Beca team and contributing to the development of both the projects and the team. The ports industry has seen some huge challenges and changes over the past year and hopefully 2021 onwards will see some levels of certainty return and provide some great opportunities for us to support our clients and provide innovative and cost-effective solutions to help the industry move forward,” says Andrew.
