A night of recognition for Beca at PCNZ 2020 Property Industry Awards!

November 12 was another big night for our Beca Buildings team, who went home with a big haul of fresh accolades across multiple categories from the Property Council of New Zealand (PCNZ), Property Industry Awards 2020!

Now in their 20th year, the Property Council of New Zealand Rider Levett Bucknall Property Industry Awards celebrate excellence in design and innovation in the built environment and property sectors, and are the most prestigious awards of their kind in New Zealand. At the official gala ceremony, hosted at Auckland’s Spark Arena and attended by over 1,400 industry professionals and representatives, our Buildings team won the following awards:

 

Award of Excellence (Best in Category) – one project is selected from each category as the “best of the best”. These best in category projects are also in the running for the overall Supreme Award (the best overall property of the year). Beca was part of the project team for the following winners:

  • University of Waikato – Tauranga Campus (GREENSTONE GROUP Education Property Award)

Award of Excellence – these awards are presented to a handful of projects that are deemed to be amongst the best in their chosen category, and symbolise excellence within the broader property industry. Beca was part of the project team for the following winners:

  • Ngā Puna Wai Sports Hub, Christchurch

    NAYLOR LOVE Heritage and Adaptive Reuses Property Award

  • University of Auckland – The Old Arts Building (Building 119), Auckland

    RESENE Green Building Property Award

  • Inflight Logistics Warehouse, Auckland

    WARREN AND MAHONEY Civic and Arts Property Award

  • Building C – Mt Eden Corrections Facility, Auckland
  • Te Manawa (Westgate Library), Auckland

Award of Merit – the award of merit is given to projects that are deemed to have something distinctive or unique about the way in which their development was undertaken. Beca was part of the project team for the following winners:
