Carl works nationally and internationally as a project leader, urban designer and planner on large scale urban design projects for both the public and private sectors.
Carl is an Associate providing strategic, urban design, landscape planning, policy and project management services. He brings an interesting breadth of experience and knowledge to the projects he works on, including eleven years’ working on a range of international projects. These include preparation of district plan and urban design policies, local area plans and urban design frameworks, structure plans, design guidelines and master plans.
Carl’s experience as a project leader, urban designer and policy planner has been gained in New Zealand, Australia, Ireland and Europe, working on a variety of large scale urban projects for both the public and private sectors. In addition, he has studied planning, landscape architecture and urban design in New Zealand and Switzerland, enabling him to facilitate a multi-disciplinary approach to projects and draw on international best practice.
Based in Auckland, Carl is responsible for a variety of projects in New Zealand and Australia. Recent projects include assisting with Auckland Council Area Plans and Unitary Plan, preparation of Hamilton City Centre Local Area Plan and City Centre District Plan Chapter, Auckland Transport Corridor Management Plans, Waipa Town Concept Plans (NZPI Award, 2010) and assisting with City Rail Link urban design.
