Greg is Business Development Director for the planning business line and the Technical Director for planning based in Wellington. As well as working on numerous significant projects in this region, Greg assists the planning business to improve its ability to win and secure large jobs across New Zealand.
Greg has had the opportunity to work on many policy and development infrastructure projects to develop his planning career with Beca. “The opportunity to take on leadership roles has been really exciting”, he says. “The camaraderie between senior people and Beca’s leadership training has really helped me to learn and develop my own leadership style.”
A key highlight for Greg was starting Beca’s planning business in Australia, and growing that business over a four year period. Since returning to New Zealand, Greg has led the Planning business across the country, focussing on business development and client relationship management. “Providing strategic direction on how to improve and grow our business while constantly bringing new ideas to our clients is an exciting challenge. We strive to bring innovative Beca best practice to them, wherever they are in the world”.
Greg brings a wealth of planning experience to clients. His recent project involvement varies from a major wind farm development currently going through a Board of Inquiry process to producing a comprehensive structure plan for a new suburb in Upper Hutt City. “The great thing about a planning career at Beca is the ability to participate in such a diverse range of projects, while working alongside such a talented team.”
