Andy has over 20 years' experience in public transport planning, transport scheme appraisal, demand forecasting, strategy formulation, outline design and project management.
From his short time with Beca, Andy recognises the company's strengths lie in its focus on key strategic projects, combined with clear vision and values that encourage respect for each other, clients, the environment and community.
He came to Beca from First ScotRail in the UK. As Planning Projects Manager he undertook a major timetable planning and performance review project, and led the development and implementation of a new train crew diagramming optimizer. Before that, Andy led the timetable planning team, and was responsible for planning timetable changes required to enable engineering works to take place.
Prior to working in the rail industry, he worked in transport planning consultancy for 15 years. Latterly, he led the transport planning business of a major UK consultant in Scotland. Prior to that he held a number of technical roles in consultancy, gaining experience in planning for rail, road and water modes of transport in the UK, Hong Kong, Malaysia and Ireland.
Andy has also worked in the UK bus industry where he gained experience of operations and timetable planning.
