Brendan has over 15 years of experience in the design of fire suppression and alarm systems over a broad range projects. These have included cold storage facilities, paper mills, warehouse extensions, high-risk applications, hospitals, art galleries, high-rise residential developments and environmentally sustainable buildings.
Brendan's innovative designs for the reduction of water consumption in fire protection systems saw him invited to have his ideas published on a national water saving website by the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry; as part of the Australian Government’s water savings initiatives.
Brendan credits his career progression to understanding the variety of different systems available together with his ability to tailor a design to meet clients' requirements. His enthusiasm and motivation led to his appointment as Section Manager; which has also given Brendan the chance to develop his managerial skills such as resourcing, client relationships, job management and financials - and of course developing the careers of his team members.
An experienced building industry practitioner who has demonstrated his understanding of the Green Star rating system and the benefits of integrated design, Brendan has been a member of the ranks of Green Star Accredited Professionals for four years.
