Craig Lee joined Beca in 2010 to lead the growth of Beca's capability in the Australian defence segment. He is working closely with the wider Beca group to bring together a team of trans-Tasman specialists to provide services to this important market.
Prior to joining Beca, Craig was the General Manager of Relegen Pty Ltd, an Australian company servicing the government and industry sectors.
He also spent time as the Maritime Business Development Manager for Jacobs Australia, an organisation delivering professional services to clients like the Department of Defence in capital equipment acquisition, engineering support, logistic support and other areas of specialist assistance.
Before moving to the private sector, Craig served in the Royal Australian Navy. His Navy career included operational service as the Chief Engineer in two warships, the challenging role of Commanding Officer of the Navy’s largest maritime maintenance facility, and working in the Defence Materiel Organisation (DMO) to deliver operational maintenance and capital procurement projects.
Craig is an experienced and motivated manager who has a proven history of service delivery in dynamic environments. His skills include general and engineering management, developing and maintaining long term business relationships, producing effective business propositions, providing superior service delivery to clients, and driving business improvements across key business operations.
