As Group Director of Finance, Mark oversees Beca’s finance strategy, treasury, shareholding, superannuation and finance sytems across the group.

Mark graduated from the University of Auckland with a Master of Commerce. He spent the next eight years with global professional services firm PricewaterhouseCoopers in their auditing team, where he progressed to Audit Manager, looking after a portfolio of key clients.
In 1999 Mark joined Beca as International Accounting Manager responsible for the accounting for Beca’s international operations. As the Beca Group has grown and matured, he has transitioned into his current broader finance and executive leadership role.
Mark was attracted to Beca for its equity ownership model and strong growth potential. “You can make a difference at Beca and share in the outcomes and rewards of that,” he says. He also enjoys being actively involved in the high-level strategy of growing such an international company. “The growth in Beca itself has provided opportunities that you wouldn’t normally get if you were not in such a progressive company.”
Mark is a past member of the New Zealand Council for CPA Australia, and sits on the advisory board for Unitec’s Department of Accounting and Finance.
