Kiat Leong was with Beca from 1994 to 2000 and after rejoining in 2003, now leads Beca's Environmental Sustainability Design (ESD) team based in Singapore.
Kiat Leong has 20 years' experience in design, project and facilities management, both in Singapore and the Asia-Pacific region.
His core competencies are in technical due diligence studies, building design reviews, facilities condition assessments, diagnostics and troubleshooting, systems testing and commissioning, green building design, energy conservation, and management. He has conducted more than 100 technical due diligence and facilities audits throughout Asia.
Kiat Leong is a Certified Energy Manager accredited by the Association of Energy Engineers, USA. In addition, he is a registered trainer with the Ministry of Education, regularly conducting public lectures for PSB Academy on 'Fire Safety Management of Built Environment'.
He is also a Singapore Professional Engineer, Certified Energy Manager and Green Mark Manager and sits on many committees and panels. These include the Singapore BCA Green Mark Energy Modelling Technical Committee, Building Research Advisory Committee, Simplified Design Energy Efficiency Software Development Committee and the BCA Academy Advisory Panel.
