Robert Durrant, Chairman Beca Group
Robert (Bob) Durrant took over the role of Chairman of Beca Group Ltd in September 2008.
Bob has a wealth of experience gained from working in several different parts of the business. He began his career as a civil and structural engineer, initially designing institutional and commercial buildings followed by a period designing and project managing the delivery of a number of large industrial plants. For a period of ten years Bob worked on major industrial projects in several international markets. During his career he has been involved in managing Beca projects or operations in many different locations such as the United Kingdom, China, Australia, Indonesia, Myanmar, Malaysia, India, USA, Belize, Brazil, Chile and the Pacific Islands.
In his most recent capacity as MD, Beca International, Bob has played a significant role in Beca’s growth into new international markets.
Bob is an advocate of Beca’s ownership model and believes both the company and the employee benefit from being able to participate in the ownership of the company.
