Engineering consultancy Beca's investment in its employees was recognised recently at the Wellington Regional Gold Awards. Beca was announced as the winner in the 'WRLMS Investment in People' category.

Several Beca staff members were honoured at the 2008 Beca Innovate Awards celebrating employee innovation. Seven teams were awarded category prizes, with the Water Recycling project in Victoria, Australia emerging as the Supreme Winner.

Life experiences valuable in forming distinguished engineering career

Beca is once again sponsoring the National Power New Zealand conference to be held 26 - 28 February 2008 at Auckland’s Skycity Convention Centre.

At the 2007 New Zealand Engineering Excellence Awards, Beca project manager Tyrone Newson was named New Zealand Young Engineer of the Year. Beca also had another finalist, project manager Iain Sutherland, from Beca's Christchurch office.
